Since we are celebrating "National Arts Month" this February, I'd like to share an amazing kind of art that I really wish we could have here in the Philippines.

For places experiencing winter and snow, this is by far the best perk you can find on the streets.
It's a waiting shed for commuters presented with a very effective advertisement. As you can see, it looks like a giant oven with huge picture of burgers plus a real heating element above. People who stay there would definitely feel comfortable and wouldn't mind if it they wait for hours. I really can't believe the heavenly voice came from this man. My jaw dropped as i listened to him speak. Our country needs people like him. We should discover talents from the most unimaginable places.
It's amazing how some people are willing to do everything just to save animals from extinction.
Even if it meant going around like a silly mascot. It's not something to laugh about. It is, in fact, a heroic and courageous act -- an act of pure love and dedication to their mission of saving animals. There are only a few of these kinds of people and I salute them. It makes me think I want to be like them in the future -- a true hero. Click here to read the whole story. We visit the cemetery during this day. But do we know about the things in the graveyard?
Here are some beliefs that might be true. 1.) Flowers were said to help a spirit accept that it was dead, so flowers were laid on graves. 2.) Graves were dug deep, so that the heavy earth piled on top of the coffins would keep the corpses in. 3.) Graves were clearly marked, as walking over a grave might make the body into a vampire. 4.) Heavy gravestones helped stop corpses from climbing out again. It's Halloween! Costumes are everywhere. But how can you distinguish prosthetics from the real thing? One of the most famous scary creatures imitated during Halloween is the werewolf. The idea increased from the popularity of the "vampire-werewolf" tandem. Is the werewolf in front of you just made up of glued objects? Or is it ready to eat you alive? Based on superstitious beliefs, here are four ways to check if it's not just a costume and you should run for your life: 1.) BUSHY EYEBROWS THAT JOINED Unibrows are normal, especially when your hormones say that you are hairy. But if the brows are really thick, grows in every direction, and looks odd or scary, there might be another reason. 2.) SMALL POINTED EARS Check the ears. Do they seem normal but look something like "hobbit ears" as seen from The Lord of the Rings trilogy? 3.) RING FINGER AS LONG AS THE MIDDLE ONE Normally, each of our fingers differ in length. But another sign of suspicion is when the ring finger and the middle finger is as long as the other. 4.) HAIRY PALMS OF THE HANDS As we can observe, the skin on the soles of our feet and the palms of our hands differ from the rest of our body. That's why we cannot see any hair growing. This is the best way to detect among the other three presented because of the rarity of the case. ** This is based from what they call superstitious features of suspected werewolves in the old times. We don't know if these clues are true or still applicable in this day and age. Everything depends on the person's belief and it is up to you if you believe or not. |
The author's name is always misspelled and mispronounced. But you can call her Maryowni.
